Walking

China

Great Wall - Wutai Shan - Li River

Whoever is interested to see China in all its variety and wants to walk along unbeaten tracks should join this tour. For instance, there is no better way to understand China's history than walking on the Great Wall. Don't take this too lightly! During three days we take you along the "Wild Wall", unrestored parts of this ancient defense line, perfectly set among the surrounding nature. But this trip brings you also to relatively unknown places that are worth seeing like the Buddhist monasteries of the Wutai mountains and the impressive granite cliffs of the Hua Shan. A beauty among China's historical places on the way is Pingyao (World Heritage site) with its fantastic preserved walkable citywall. In the final part of your journey we take you over four days through the romantic and picturesque karst-landscape of the Li River along a new and unspoiled walking trail. Of course your tour wouldn't be complete without some major highlights like Beijing's Forbidden City and Xi'an's Terracotta Army.
