With this tour you'll see China's most colourful side. This trip is a real encounter with China in all its aspects and variety. This is due to the richness of landscape and culture combined with China's major highlights. Of course you will visit the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in Beijing. You will also be faced with the amazing excavations of the Terracotta Army site of China's first emperor. Besides this you'll also be surprised to find so many minority people living among the millions of Han Chinese, many of them still living according to their old traditions. You will meet these people for instance in Labrang (Xiahe) where you learn more about Tibetan Buddhism, and in Yunnan while staying in the old and charming centres of Dali and Lijiang. The last part of your journey you'll stay right inside the most magnificent landscapes of the world: the limestone formations of the Lijiang River. There is plenty of time to discover by yourself the attractiveness of the Chinese countryside either by boat, bike or on foot.
