Behind the barrier of the Himalayas lies Tibet; still a remote place that will give you an extraordinary experience not easily forgotten. This journey offers you a unique encounter with the landscape, culture and history of Tibet. After arriving in the capital Lhasa, you will notice the thin air. Your body needs some days for acclimatisation. This can be combined perfectly with sightseeing around the Potala Palace and the old centre around the Jokhang Temple, for instance. Then waits your long trip overland, where you'll follow the course of the Yarlung River further continuing to the border of Nepal. On the way you see remote villages and the two other main cities in Tibet, Gyantse and Xigatse. As soon as you reach Tingri, a breathtaking view on the eastern Himalayas suddenly appears, revealing the highest mountains on earth, including Mount Everest. Your journey eventually ends in Kathmandu, Nepal.
